SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)

A Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is a unique identifier for each distinct product and service that can be purchased. eCommerce businesses use SKUs to track inventory, optimize stocking levels, and analyze sales trends. For example, an online clothing store may use different SKUs for the same shirt in various sizes and colors to efficiently manage its inventory.
